ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø is a JED Campus.

JED Campus is a signature program of designed to guide institutions of higher education through a collaborative process of comprehensive systems, program and policy development with customized support to build upon existing student mental health, substance use, and suicide prevention efforts. The College is grateful for this partnership with JED and the programming support from the Charles E. Kubly Foundation and former students Julie and Justin Randall through their inaugural Drewfest fundraiser. The College’s press release can be read here. JED Campus 4-Year Timeline

Assessment and strategic planning around mental health and wellbeing took place in Year 1 of the JED Campus Program, from Spring 2024 through Fall 2025. The assessment process included a baseline assessment completed by key staff and faculty, student participation in the Healthy Minds Study with a 20% response rate, and a campus visit from staff from The JED Foundation. Assessment results then informed the College’s mental health and wellbeing strategic plan, which was finalized at the end of Fall 2025.

Years 2 and 3 are focused on implementing action items from the strategic plan.

Year 4 will focus on post-assessment, future goal setting, and program sustainability.

Current Strategic Priorities

  1. Communicate the story of the College’s efforts related to mental health and wellbeing
  2. Build upon existing life skills and social-emotional programming
  3. Expand mental health training programs for students, faculty, and staff
  4. Strengthen suicide prevention efforts by improving the safety of physical spaces across campus and reducing access to lethal means
  5. Finalize a college-wide “postvention plan” in cases of student death
